GOOD TO KNOW

A guide to Large Rugs

Choosing large rugs

  • Dimensions and shape. Measure the usable area and allow clearance for doors and furniture.
  • Pile and backing. Compare thickness, texture and backing with the floor and the intended location.
  • Care and location. Check cleaning instructions and whether the item is intended for indoor, outdoor or wet-area use.

Comparing options

Place the intended rug dimensions within the room layout before choosing a design. Allow doors to open and consider furniture placement. Check the backing, thickness and care requirements for the floor and location.
