• Materials and care. Check the upholstery and care instructions and whether covers or cushions are removable.

Comparing options

Check both room fit and the route into the room. A sofa bed or reclining design uses a larger footprint when extended. Compare the seating area, upholstery care and package components rather than the seat-count label alone.
